Minneapolis Police Shoot, Kill Unarmed Woman

A Minnesota family is heartbroken after police officers shot and killed an unarmed woman outside her home.

It happened Saturday night when Justine Damond called 9-1-1 after hearing what she thought was a possible sexual assault in an alley near her home in Minneapolis.

It’s not yet clear what prompted police to shoot her.

Investigators say the officers were equipped with body cameras when the shooting occurred but they were not on.

Now her family is demanding answers.

Both officers involved in the incident are on administrative paid leave while the investigation into Damond’s death continues.
