Village of Shelby Still Under Boil Water Advisory, Ice Mountain Donating Bottled Water

The village of Shelby is getting some more help as it continues to deal with its boil water advisory.

Shelby is still under a precautionary boil water advisory after it says there was a risk of bacteria in the water system.

Ice Mountain has been donating bottled water for residents.

The village has distributed the water the past two days, and plan to do it again Sunday.

Residents can pick up water starting at noon at the Department of Public Works garage on West Sixth Street.

It runs until six.

The village says the DEQ will have recommendations for a plan to get the problem fixed by next week.
