Mesick Man Arrested in Murder-for-Hire Investigation
The Wexford County prosecutor says a Mesick man is accused of trying to hire someone else to kill people.
State police say Dean Evans is accused of two counts of soliciting to murder.
Investigators say it began when a friend of Evans told them Evans was asking if someone would kill two people for him.
Michigan State Police say an undercover investigation found this to be true.
Evans was arrested in March for sex crimes.
Troopers arrested Evans Thursday night.
His bond was set at one million dollars.
The Traverse Narcotics Team, Wexford County Sheriff’s Office, the Wexford County prosecutor’s office and Michigan State Police Cadillac Post all worked together to investigate the murder-for-hire case.
