Thursday is the grand opening of a brand new Meijer in Sault Ste. Marie.
The ribbon cutting ceremony took place at 7:00 Thursday morning.
The new store is expected to bring 300 jobs to the Soo, both part-time and full-time.
It’s part of a $375 million project adding seven new stores.
Meijer is also updating six supercenters across Michigan, including the one in Mount Pleasant.
