East Jordan Building Collapses; Four Construction Workers Injured

A number of construction workers are recovering after they were caught up in a collapsing building.

Four construction workers were rushed to the hospital after it collapsed.

It happened around 11:00 on M-32 in East Jordan at the old VFW Hall that is currently being turned into a resale shop.

The sheriff says they were working on the walls and attaching the roof system, when they heard and felt a big gust of wind.

They heard the wood crack right before it collapsed.

According to the sheriff all four workers have head injuries.

The sheriff says the crane operators did everything they could and they will not be investigating any further.
