Traverse City Furniture Store Hosts Mattress Event To Help Local Nonprofit

A Northern Michigan business is helping raise money for a local nonprofit.

Currie’s Furniture in Traverse City is having their third annual Father Fred Mattress Event.

Five percent of all of mattress sales will be donated to the Father Fred Foundation.

The event is going on for the entire month of May.

The furniture store has raised more than $4,000 in the past two years.

"May is better sleep month and we thought it would be a great time to tie in with a charity like Father Fred to give back to our community, and so people could actually have a good night sleep and give to Father Fred,” says Greg Currie, Owner of Currie’s Furniture

“We’re just glad we’re able to partner with somebody that keeps local money local helping our families that we know,” says Karlene Currie, Owner of Currie’s Furniture

Currie’s Furniture sells Restonic mattresses made locally in Northern Michigan.
