Three Arrested for Armed Robbery, Traverse City Police Looking for Fourth Suspect

Traverse City police are looking for a man who they say broke into a home and stabbed another man.

Police got a call about the armed robbery Sunday afternoon.

It happened in the 1000 block of Barlow Street.

Traverse City Police Chief Jeff O’Brien says they got the call about an active armed robbery on Barlow Street around 3:15 Sunday afternoon.

He says two males and two females broke into a home.

The men had knives with them.

They then confronted a man and woman inside the house, demanding money.

When the man said he didn’t have it, the two men stabbed him multiple times around his head.

Chief O’Brien says they were minor injuries, but they working to figure out why they broke into this home.

“Sounds like they were all acquaintances. And we’re not really quite certain why the victim owed the suspect money, but we’ll piece that together as the investigation goes along,” says Chief O’Brien.

The four suspects took off before police got to the home, but were eventually arrested when a deputy pulled them over.

The three were arrested for home invasion, armed robbery and felonious assault.

Police are still looking for the second male suspect.
