The murder trial for Daniel Clay continues in Monroe County.
Investigators say a DNA match linked him to the unsolved crime.
Clay is charged in the death of Chelsea Bruck following a Halloween party in 2014.
The coroner, police and prosecutors say Clay beat Bruck to death, and dumped her body in a remote area of Monroe County.
Clay said in a taped interview with police that her death was an accident, something that happened after they had sex in his car.
He said he panicked and left Bruck’s body in the woods.
Clay is expected to testify in his own defense, possibly later this week.
