Cadillac Businesses Welcome Burst Of Spring Weather

"We’re looking to be well above of what we had last year too," said Ben Mackey.

Spring time is in full swing here in Northern Michigan, and with that brings a refreshing burst of cash for local businesses.

"The last couple weeks it’s been a little colder, people have been hesitant to play, because it’s been really cold but today was really great and we’re hoping to keep this weather going keep play coming in," Ben Mackey said.

And it’s not just on the golf course. Bikers are also paying McLain Cycle and Fitness a visit.

"People are starting to see the weather is going to stay nice. 70 degrees seems to be that mark," said Allen Garrow.

They aren’t coming in just to ride away with a new bike.

"Most people who buy bikes are starting to bring them in for regular maintenance done on them," Allen said.

Back over at Evergreen, they’re bringing on more staff to handle a full course.

"Our summer hours we’re getting a little longer right now bringing on more staff really getting ready to ramp up for the rest of the season," Ben said.

"Evergreen and McLain’s are both getting ready for some pretty big events coming up. You can find more information about Evergreen Resort
