Trout season is in full swing and bait shops are staying busy keeping up.
The season opened at the end of April.
Pilgrims Village in Cadillac says they have seen a good turnout so far, with more anglers coming through their doors to buy bait and other supplies.
Currently manager Christopher Knaisel says the store is making sure people have everything they need to catch a lot of fish.
“It’s been good. A lot of numbers of fish. Not necessarily a lot of large ones but they’ve been catching as many as they want to anyway. They’re really busy catching fish,” Knaisel said.
Christopher says they are also looking forward to the start of bass season in a couple weeks.
