Tree Lighting – December 2

Downtown Traverse City is hosting their tree lighting at 5pm on December 2. Get in the holiday spirit while spending the evening shopping & strolling through downtown. The free celebration includes holiday music, the lighting of the holiday tree and a community sing-a-long. Santa is also stopping by!

Holiday Open House – December 3-4

The McGulpin Point Lighthouse in Mackinaw City is holding a special holiday re-opening from 10am-6pm. The re-opening coincides with the “Christmas in Mackinaw City” festivities. Visitors can enjoy refreshments and historic holiday décor. Freewill donations are accepted for admission into the holiday open house.

Teddy Bear Toss – December 3

Join LSSU at 7pm at the Taffy Abel Arena for their Teddy Bear Toss. During the LSSU vs. Bowling Green State hockey game, staff will collect new or gently used toys, coats and clothes to donate.

Light Up The Night – December 3

Light Up the Night is taking place on December 3 from 9am-7pm in Bellaire. The celebration includes a parade of lights, tree lighting, community caroling, ornament making and so much more. People can also purchase $5 tasting tickets to take part in the chili cook-off.

Jingle Bell Jam – December 3

Four local acts are performing live music at the American Legion in Manistee at 7pm. The annual benefit concert benefits Toys For Tots and Gifts for Teens in Manistee County. Bring a new, unwrapped toy or a cash donation for admission into the Jingle Bell Jam.

Merchant’s Holiday Open House – December 3

Join in on the fun at Merchant’s Holiday Open House on December 3 from 6-9pm in Harbor Springs. The traditional fun-filled evening includes shopping, refreshments and holiday treats. The Petoskey High School steel drum band will also be performing live music during the open house.
