Police Pay Final Respects To Wayne State Officer Killed In The Line Of Duty
Police from all over Michigan are paying their final respects to a Wayne State police officer killed in the line of duty last week.
K-9 Officer Collin Rose’s funeral mass is Thursday in St. Clair Shores.
Visitation was Wednesday at Ford Field, and it drew officers from across the state.
Rose was shot last Tuesday when he tried to arrest DeAngelo Davis.
Davis faces murder and gun charges.
Wayne State Police Chief Anthony Holt cited Rose for valor and posthumously promoted him to sergeant.
The university president says they’re creating a $25,000 endowed scholarship in Rose’s name.
