Investigators are testifying in a Charlevoix County murder trial.
Matthew Fruge is accused of stabbing and killing his friend Jacob Conklin last October at Fruge’s Bay Township home.
On Wednesday, Conklin’s mother took the stand, saying Jacob left his home in Florida to visit Fruge in Michigan so they could help each other.
Fruge’s ex-wife described the struggles she watched him deal with PTSD, drinking and drugs.
