Tuesday MyNorth Media awarded Child and Family services of Northwest Michigan with a more than $14,000 check.
The donated money is ticket proceeds from MyNorth’s Northern Home and Cottage Tours this past fall.
Child and Family Services says they cover 13 counties and this donation can help cover counseling services, special program fees and more.
Making sure a child gets the community resources they need regardless of their parent’s budget.
Jenn Thomas, an adoptive and foster parent says, “It allows them to participate in the programs that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to do. I don’t know that we could have Grace participate in the PEACE Ranch program if it weren’t donations or maybe counseling services.”
Over the past four years MyNorth has donated more than $40,000 to Child and Family Services.
