City of Cadillac Meets $50,000 Match Campaign Goal
The City of Cadillac met its most recent fundraising goal with a $50,000 match campaign.
Now, the city will get a matching $50,000 from Patronicity, which is a civic crowdfunding platform aimed at improving communities across Michigan.
The total amount of $100,000 will go towards adding a $600,000 farmers market area to the Cadillac Commons project.
“We had probably over half the contributions come in the form of under $100 donations. So while it didn’t make up majority of the funds, it showed great community support and we were very appreciative to get donations large and small,” City of Cadillac Community and Development Director John Wallace said.
The city is still fundraising for other parts of the commons project.
