Kalkaska County Agricultural Fair Seeks Volunteers

The Kalkaska County Agricultural Fair kicks off Tuesday, and they still need help to make sure it goes smoothly.

Tuesday’s events include 4-H animal displays made by kids.

There’s a horse pull Wednesday, followed by a 4-H auction on Thursday.

Senior citizens can enjoy a breakfast on Thursday, and this Friday is Kids’ Day.

Fair organizers say volunteers are needed across the board, and they’re essential to the event.

“I like to say it’s just community, but it also attracts tourism to our area, which is an important part of the community,” Kalkaska County Fair Secretary Debbie Ball-Odeh said. “If we have people that are willing to give just a couple of hours that just helps us extend what we want to do and how we do it.”
