DNR Awards $45,000 Recreation Passport Grant to Roscommon Park

A local park will soon have a new look thanks to a large grant from the Department of Natural Resources.

The DNR awarded $45,000 to Wallace Park in Roscommon. It’s money from the DNR’s Recreation Passport Grant.

The money will help make Wallace Park more accessible, connect it to an existing trail system, replace the seawall, and add a fishing dock.

Plans were already completed for this project, but the money put the plan into motion.

Construction is expected to be finished in the fall.

The DNR dispersed nearly $900,000 across the state as part of their recreation passport grants. For that full list, click here.
