Mason Co. Inmate Accused of Smuggling Drugs into Jail

A Mason County woman could face more time after deputies say she tried to smuggle drugs into jail.

The drug discovery happened at the county jail in Ludington on Friday night as the woman was going through intake.

Deputies say corrections officers found the methadone pills taped to her leg.

The woman was serving jail time for a drug related charge.

It was actually the last weekend of her sentence when she was caught.

Now the Sheriff’s Department is waiting for a warrant to be issued for her arrest.
