GM Recalls Nearly 27,000 Vehicles to Fix Transmissions

General Motors is recalling nearly 27,000 Buicks and Cadillacs sold in the U.S. to fix a problem with the automatic transmissions.

The car company is recalling 2013 model Buick LaCrosse full size cars and Cadillac SRX crossover SUVs.

GM says a software problem can cause the transmissions to accidentally shift into sport mode.

This problem can override the slowing effect from the transmission, raising the risk of a crash.

No crashes or injuries have been reported yet.

GM says they will reprogram the transmissions at no cost.

The recall goes into effect starting March 28th.
