Rare Asteroid Streaks Through The Sky
The 2005 YU55 Asteroid made an appearance in our skies this evening.
At around 6:30 pm the Asteroid flew through the sky about 200,000 miles from Earth.
The cloudy weather made it impossible to see in Northern Michigan but for those who did get a glimpse in other parts of the country they needed a high power telescope.
This asteroid won't be coming back around for about 200 years.
Jessica Dupnack was at the Northwestern Michigan College Observatory and has more details on the asteroid.
