Fire Benefit Dinner

A northern Michigan community is coming together to help a friend and war veteran.

Last month, Navy veteran Christopher Malama found his home destroyed by fire after returning from Ann Arbor, where he has been getting treatment for stage four throat cancer. He lost his two dogs in the fire.
There will be a benefit on Sunday at the Saint Joseph's Civic Club in Manistee with food from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30p.m.  The spaghetti dinner will be followed by live entertainment and a DJ.

Event organizers are asking for a $10 donation at the door.
