Mesick Remembers Student Killed in Crash

A Northern Michigan community is mourning the loss of a high school junior who died in a car accident. Police say Debra Hagerty-Kraemer died when her car flipped and hit a tree near her home. The deadly accident happened around 6pm Friday in Marilla Township in Manistee County. The Mesick High School principal says the school is already missing Debbie's big personality and big smile. They had extra grief counselors on hand for students today. Debra Hagerty-Kraemer's funeral will be Wednesday at 5pm in the Mesick Consolidated School Gym.
