Chippewa County Law Enforcement Officers Recognized for Saving Lives

Two Chippewa County Sheriff's Deputies and one Michigan State Police Trooper are being credited with saving three lives back in October. Deputies Albert Dumback and Kip Moeggenborg both received a Professional Excellent Award today for their bravery. Trooper Daniel Rambo received a Lifesaving Award from the Michigan State Police. The group risked their own lives searching for three duck hunters stranded in Munuscong Bay after their boat capsized. That night, waves were up to six feet high and the water was 45-degrees. Hypothermia had already set in by the time officers rescued the hunters. 9&10's Christina Vecchioni and photojournalist Aaron Smith caught up with everyone again today for the award ceremony.
