Fans Give Final Goodbye to Lovable Legend, Ernie Harwell
Thousands made the trip to Comerica Park in Detroit Thursday for the final chance to say goodbye to a hall-of-fame broadcaster and Michigan icon. Ernie Harwell's family welcomed fans to pay their final respects inside a place where he felt most at home… The ballpark. The man known as the Voice of Summer and a fatherly figure for millions died Tuesday night of inoperable cancer. Harwell spent 42 seasons calling Detroit Tigers' games. He was 92 years old.
