Firefighters Save Harrison Man’s Possessions from House Fire
A Harrison man is crediting firefighters with saving his prized possessions in a fire that took his home. Wendell Reed's home caught fire around noon Monday. Reed says his dog Willy is the real hero because he started barking to let him know the house was on fire. Reed says he appreciates how quickly firefighters responded and were able to save his Marine Corps memorabilia. Reed and his dog were not hurt in the fire. He plans to stay with friends until he finds a new place to live.
