UPDATED: Cause of Death Determined for Both Ludington Victims
Northern Michigan's News Leader has new information on the death of a Ludington man Wednesday at the Pineway Apartment Complex. The medical examiner says James Balenger died of of two self-inflicted stab wounds to the heart. The autopsy determined this finding by the angle of the chest wound and the fact Balenger had no defensive wounds. The other victim, 7-year-old Chloey Stoudt was suffocated, according to the Kent County Medical Examiner. The Ludington community will be holding a candlelight vigil tonight in memory of Chloey Stoudt. It begins at 7:00pm at the Cornerstone Baptist Church on Nelson Road, across the street from Chloey's home. People who knew the little girl say she was a beautiful child who had many friends. We will have continuing coverage of the vigil tonight.
