Families React to Violent Death of Ludington First Grader

Police are still investigating the death of a Mason County first-grader. 9&10 News learned new information today, but many questions remain. Seven-year-old Chloey Stoudt and James Belanger of Montague both died early Wednesday from injuries at the Pineway Apartment Complex in Ludington. Police say Belanger died at the hospital from a stab wound to the heart. They are still waiting on the autopsy results for Chloey Stoudt, but they say it appears she was not stabbed. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. Police say they're not looking for any suspects, and there is no danger to the public. One day after these violent deaths, parents of Chloey's friends say they're still in shock. 9&10's Alex Jokich and photojournalist Michael Bulthuis have the story.
