Man Hurt in Mt. Pleasant Hit and Run

Police in Mt. Pleasant are investigating something of an odd hit and run accident from early Sunday morning. A 20 year old Mt. Pleasant man was seriously injured while he and others were pushing a car. They were on Bellows street near East Campus Drive when the accident happened. The victim was on the drivers' side pushing the car when the vehicle was sideswiped by another car. The victim was dragged several hundred feet down Bellows, as the driver sped away. He has since been hospitalized in Grand Rapids. Police have located a suspect vehicle and it is being processed for evidence. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Mt.
