New Library Opens in Former Millersburg Elementary School

People in Millersburg gathered today, Tuesday, to celebrate the opening of a new library. The library is in the building of the former Millersburg Elementary School. Onaway Area Community Schools were forced to close Millersburg Elementary last fall to save money, but the community did not want to see the building go to waste. Case township purchased the building from the school district for $1- and turned it into a community center. This library is the most recent addition. There is a six-month trial period, but if everything goes well, they could expand the library to another classroom. 9&10's Christina Vecchioni and Stephanie Adkins have more details.
