North Stars score early and often en route to 7-1 win

TRAVERSE CITY – Dan Radke broke a 1-1 tie midway through the second period to ignite a four-goal barrage in a 5:17 span that lifted the Traverse City North Stars to a 7-1 victory over Janesville in the first game of a best-of-five playoff series. Kyle Jean and Tim Opie each chipped in for the North Stars with a goal and an assist apiece. Eric McClintock had two assists. Drew Strandberg made 25 saves to earn the win. Game Two of the series is scheduled for 7:00 Saturday night at Centre ICE arena.
