Pierino Foods Recalling Mislabeled Pasta Shells

Pierino Frozen Foods Inc. is recalling some of its Jumbo Shells with Cheese because their labeling doesn't include eggs. The company says persons allergic to eggs may suffer serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume these products. Pierino is recalling 24-ounce packages of Jumbo Shells with Cheese marked with UPC numbers 039106333347 on the back of the package with an expiration date 01/2011 and all dates prior to 01/2011. Consumers may return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. The products were sold in Michigan, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Colorado, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia and Florida. Pierino says it knows of one confirmed mild reaction by a consumer. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
