US Rep. Stupak to Hold Phone Town Hall Meeting

U.S. Rep. Bart Stupak is reaching out and touching his constituents. The nine-term congressman from Menominee plans to hold a telephone town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Residents of the 1st District will have the chance to ask Stupak questions on issues including health care and the economy. Democrat Stupak, who recently announced he won't be running for governor, says town hall meetings of this kind allow him “to reach out to people across the entire vast” district and “hear their concerns and feedback directly.” Stupak says that during his last telephone town hall meeting on Nov. 18, 4,752 people representing all 31 counties in the district joined the call.
