Big Rapids Schools Superintendent Concerned About Future of Education

When Governor Jennifer Granholm begins her final State of the State address, many local school administrators will be listening closely to what she has to say. Big Rapids Public Schools Superintendent Tom Langdon says he's very concerned about the future direction of Michigan schools, especially after the governor already called for thousands of teachers to retire and has plans to increase the cost of health care and pensions for those who remain. Langdon says the cuts for this upcoming school year will run deeper than ever before and as 9&10's Kalee Iacoangeli and photojournalist Jeremy Erickson report, he says this will cause a fundamental change in how Michigan schools educate their students.
