Public Speaks Out About Shoreline Controversy in Traverse City

The battle for the shoreline continues to make waves in Traverse City. About two weeks ago, a judge ruled that Traverse City, not the state, had the authority to decide what the boundaries would be between boaters and swimmers in the bay. At Monday night's City Commissioner's meeting, the public had its first chance since the ruling to address the board about the issue. In closed session, the Board of Commissioners did discuss a possible agreement with the DNR, but it did not take any action on the issue yet. 9&10's Kalee Iacoangeli and photojournalist Jordan Nagel were at Monday night's meeting and spoke with people on both sides of the issue.
