The Tuscarora Fire Department is warning people about a large pressure crack on Burt Lake. The crack was spotted last night. It starts around Colonial Point and ends around Cedar Point and was about 20 feet wide with open water. The Fire Chief says the open water likely froze over last night, but is only 1 to 2 inches thick. It is not safe for snowmobiles, four wheelers or other vehicles. He says to use extreme caution in the area. Northern Michigan's News Leader will bring you continuing coverage on this story tonight.
