Mecosta County Business to Send Jerky to Soldiers

Next time some local soldiers get their mail overseas, they'll find a taste of home from a Mecosta County business. Colin Kelly of Kelly's Deer Processing in Big Rapids is preparing for another jerky for the troops event. Tomorrow, from noon until three, Kelly and a crew of volunteers will package about a hundred boxes of jerky to send to soldiers stationed throughout the world. If you'd like to have a box of jerky sent to someone you know serving in the military, stop by CK's Place Banquet Hall tomorrow.
