Stupak Will Not Run for Michigan Governor
Congressman Bart Stupak has announced he will not run for governor of Michigan. Stupak currently represents the Upper Peninsula and northern-lower Michigan. In a statement released Tuesday morning, he says after careful consideration, he believes he can best serve the people of Michigan while in Congress and that his seniority and experience can affect positive change. Stupak plans to begin circulating nominating petitions within the next week to qualify as a candidate for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.
