State Cuts 70 Percent in Grants To Arts and Culture

For many Northern Michigan arts and cultural groups, another round of State budget cuts is disappointing, but no surprise. The Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs plans to give away just over 2 million dollars in grants this year; which is nearly 70 percent less then last year. 9&10's Chivon Kloepfer spoke with art groups in Traverse City today and has more in this report.
