Kalkaska County Seeks Stimulus Money to Expand Broadband Access
Many people wouldn't know what to do without high-speed internet, but the fact of the matter is that many don't have any other choice. Thousands of people around northern Michigan don't have accesss to a fast internet connection. But now the federal government may be able to help. The government is offering stimulus dollars to help expand broadband acces in rural areas. People in Kalkaska County met Friday to learn more about the problem and the potential solution. More than half of the people live in the county don't have access to fast internet. Fox 32's Ryan Raiche and Photojournalist Justin DePrekel have more on what they're doing about it.
