Students and teachers throughout the Traverse City Area Public Schools took part in activities to honor the great humanitarian. At Traverse Heights Elementary, several United Way volunteers read books about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In a kindergarten class, kids were taught the significance of Dr. King through ways they can relate to.
