Father Fred Frostbite Food Drive Needs More Donations

A drive to help feed the hungry in Northern Michigan is almost over, but the Father Fred Foundation needs more help to reach its goal. The Frostbite Food drive is only at 25-percent of its goal; only five days remain for the drive. The operations director says while the drive is slightly ahead of last year's pace, Father Fred needs to exceed last year's total in order to meet the need. The drive is seeking all types of non perishable food items but the following are especially helpful: -Canned Meats/Tuna/Chicken/Ham -Soups/Stew/Chili -Beans, Pork and Beans or Dried Beans -Peanut Butter -Hot/Dry Cereal/Cereal Bars -Soups/Juices -Canned/Dried Fruits/ 100% Fruit Juices -Evaporated/Powdered Milk -Baby Food/Infant Formula/Diapers -Toothbrushes -Toothpaste -Bar Soap -Shampoo Donations can be taken to Garfield Plaza or at Fox Grand Traverse through Sunday.
