16th Annual Frostbite Food Drive is Underway in Traverse City

With 40% more people asking for help this year, the Father Fred Foundation says it needs your donations more than ever to fill the cupboards of hungry families. The Father Fred Foundation kicked off its 16th Annual Frostbite Food Drive Friday. They're looking for things like non-perishable food items, especially canned meats and peanut butter along with personal care items. Organizers say they're off to a slow start this year, but the donations are coming in. The food drive runs through this Sunday. Donations can be dropped off at the Garfield Plaza and Fox Grand Traverse.
