Update: No Arrests Made After Suspicious Incident At Cherry Capital Airport
No arrests were made after a disturbance in the air triggered a major response on the ground at Cherry Capital Airport yesterday morning in Traverse City. Police say a man on board a flight from Chicago starting acting suspiciously right before landing. As soon as it touched down, the plane was taxied to a secluded location. Police say the man brought something into the bathroom and left it there. When the flight crew checked, they found a wall panel that had been tampered with. A bomb sniffing dog was brought aboard the plane but found nothing out of the ordinary. All passengers were interviewed and released a few hours later. Again, no arrests were made and no one was taken into custody.
