Schools Help Homeless Students

Homelessness doesn't just affect adults. It's an issue that touches many Northern Michigan kids… and their school districts. The Lake City School Board heard a report on the number of homeless kids in their district Wednesday night. Even though it doesn't seem to be on the rise, homelessness still affects almost 80 of their students. Unfortunately, this is not a new or unique situation. Lake City's Homeless Liaison says their number of homeless students is comparable to other schools in the area. Alex Jokich and photojournalist Joel Deaner have more details.
