Salvation Army Sending Help to Haiti; Seeking Donations

The Salvation Army in Grand Rapids says the organization is putting together resources and personnel to help the international relief effort in Haiti. The Salvation Army operates schools, clinics, a hospital, as well as feeding programs already in the country. The Salvation Army’s World Services Office, based in Alexandria, VA, has committed 50-thousand dollars to the relief effort. The organization can also help provide food, water and other emergency supplies.
