GT Co. Road Comm. Trying To Keep Up With Snowfall

The Grand Traverse County Road Commission is working hard to keep up with snowfall this winter. Though snow came later this year, it didn't come lighter. The manager for the road commission says the end of December hit them hard. She says the area got about half as much snow in December alone, as it did all of last year. Grand Traverse County is doing fine with supplies like salt and sand, but they are down man power, as they aren't replacing staff members who leave. The manager says she expects this year and next year to be the worst in terms of budget issues. She hopes that the state will soon step up and fix the funding problem. Erika Waddell and photojournalist Justin DePrekel have the story.
