Non-Profit Donates Toys To Traverse City Clinic
Worry took a backseat for some kids in Traverse City when volunteers brought in a donated box full of toys to the infusion clinic. Michigan blood purchased the toys with the money it saved on about 100 area donors. People who donated blood three times could opt to receive a thank-you gift or have Michigan Blood instead spend that money on toys for hospitalized kids. Many kids who go to the infusion clinic suffer from cancer or other chronic diseases. Michigan Blood is a non-profit organization that ensures enough blood is always available for local hospitals.
