Four Winns Expected To Stay In Cadillac

Four Winns is expected to stay in Cadillac. Four Winns' parent company, Genmar, filed for bankruptcy protection back in June. Yesterday, all of its assets went up for auction, including the facility in Cadillac. The president of Four Winns says California-based Platinum Equity has won the bid to buy Genmar. In December he said if that company won the bid, they planned to keep Four Winns in Cadillac and even expand its production line. That is still the impression Genmar is under today. A hearing is scheduled next week to approve the sale of Genmar.
