CMU Football gets first-ever Top 25 finish

Who would've foreseen that Central Michigan would finish the year one spot behind USC in the final college football rankings. Well, it happened. CMU ranks 23rd in the final Associated Press poll and 24th in the USA Today Coaches' Poll, marking the first time in school history that the chippewas have finished a season in the Top 25. 2009 saw the Chippewas tie a school record with 12 victories, winning their third MAC title in four seasons.
