4:00pm Update: Police Confirm Rape of Isabella County Woman

While the manhunt continues in Isabella County, Sheriff's Deputies now confirm a man raped a woman after walking into her apartment complex. Police are now working to have a sketch of the suspect made. They sent out automated phone calls to everyone in the area to remind them to lock their doors, even if they are home, until they can catch the suspect. It happened around 5:30 this morning at a complex on Deerfield Road in Mt. Pleasant. Deputies say the suspect was checking for unlocked doors in several different complexes around the area, had walked into several apartments and ended up raping a woman in one of them. The suspect is described as a thin, black male who is about 6'0'' tall with brown hair and wearing a brown or tan colored hooded sweatshirt with pockets in the front. He is in his late teens or early 20's.
